Yes or No?

Sometimes when I ask God about something, I’m looking for a simple yes or no answer and I don’t always get that. Sometimes I may or may not get a clear answer and sometimes I may just get guidance on how to move forward. God works in ways that we can’t understand all the time. In those moments He may be teaching us how to have patience, trust or faith. Having patience is one of the hardest things to do-we want things when we want it and we can’t bear to sit in our dilemma any longer. However in those moments, try to think about God for a second. Think about how much patience God has for you-waiting for you to answer his call. Are you going to serve God or not? Are you going to have trust in God or not? Are you going to let your situation overcome your faith or God? Are you going to keep sin in your life or not? There are so many yes or no questions that God deserves our answer too- but do we always give it to Him? Do we truly mean it when we do answer? We expect so much from God, but can’t give him all he deserves. Yet, God still chooses to love and have patience with us during our journey.
It has to come to a point in our life where we ultimately need to make up our mind about who we serve. Even as believers, who are we giving in too? Our mind/flesh? Other people? Or Jesus Christ? When you give your life to God, everything you may have planned may change because your life is His-you are living to please God. When you commit to Him, your desires will change. Those yes or no decisions may even come a little easier because your trust in God will increase. I hate constantly letting worry wreck my brain about something. I have to decide whether I'm going to let that situation become an idol or if I'm going to leave it in God’s hands. It’s going to be hard to leave something in His hands when you haven’t fully given your life to Him. So it's up to you to make the decision if you want Jesus in every area of your life or not.

God has promised a life of freedom- He has eternal life and great things for those who believe and obey His teachings. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17). Although people feel as if they should be able to do anything they want, scriptures say For the wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23), so ultimately are you living for the right reason or guilty pleasures?
In the end, we ALL have to make the decision on how we want our life to look. So the question to all- will it be yes or no?
Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
