Worship

Worship is to surrender.

Worship is to be free.

Worship is to embrace .

Worship is to forgive .

Worship is to let go .

Worship can mean a lot of things, but ultimately it’s your heart posture towards God.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). We can’t box God in or place him in categories. We can’t just focus on one area of our life to call on Him more, we have to invite Him in all areas. Giving our situations to God is a sacrifice, which God honors. When we learn how to truly be in reverence and awe of Him-that will help with our dilemma. This in itself comes from a place of worship . To know fully and deeply who God is requires worship. Granted, learning about all who God is never truly ends. It’s a difference to know what He can do versus who He is.

We have to be careful of losing our focus and identity because that will stunt our worship. We can’t grow if we're still stuck in a specific zone. Yes, there may be hurdles and obstacles along the way, but we knock them down with faith. Once we get over them, we can’t keep picking them back up - we have to keep our faith going. Faith can increase worship and worship can increase faith. It's the process of learning to tune everything out and tune into God's presence.

Worship is more than just singing songs -it is an everyday posture. It is also embracing His way and not your own. To realize whether the outcome is what I want or not, I know that God is in control and it's what He wants for me. To know that there is always a bigger picture than what seems to be in front of you.

Jesus is the definition of selfless. Him dying on the cross to give himself away shows surrendering, which is a form of worship. It's His love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, goodness and so much more that we have received because of this.

I have a motto I like to say, "However my day flows is how God wants it to go," but it doesn't just pertain to my day, it includes my life as well. Its trust, acceptance and letting go of control that enables me to fully let God in-that's one of my forms of worship. Knowing that I serve a God who wants the best for me and that I am in the hands of the greatest being.

There are countless reasons for our worship, but the truest form is offering our life to Him and everything that comes with it. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this your true and proper worship (Romans 12:1). The greatest love was that He gave his life for us, so in return we should be able to do the same.

Sometimes I can get in my head about if I’m truly doing enough. Or sometimes I’ll wonder if I’m doing too much. The truth of the matter is, there is probably never too much that you can do in God. He
