Worry

"Stop worrying so much," is a phrase that I've had to tell myself numerous times. God has even had to tell me that there is no need to worry on top of worry. I worry about hearing from God and missing out on what He's telling me to do or what direction to go in. I think I wreck my brain trying to figure out if God wants me to do certain things. During these times, I have to remind myself that if God is my refuge and shield, then I have to trust in the capability that God will make sure of my next move.

Why would God not protect me of hurt, harm and evil? He's done it before so he will do it again. (Psalms 121:7) The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life. Why would God let me just wander off into destruction- yes, bad things happen but at the end of it all, I am still fully protected. I know his angels cover me for it says in his word: For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all his ways (Psalms 91:11). I believe I get so scared of disappointing God, that it takes away from the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that God has already guaranteed a lifetime of protection once I decided to give my life to Him. "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. (Psalms 91:14). Just like the song lyrics say, "Don't give up on God because he won't give up on you!" If you continue to stay faithful to God, he'll do the same for you.

God is not of confusion and worry, he brings you a sound mind and love. This alone gives me peace knowing God will help me and guide me. Looking for the bad/negative situations to happen will not help- have a positive mindset about everything you do. If its meant to or not to happen then God will see fit. Not hearing from God may sometimes be your answer. God hears every single time you pray about a situation and He knows how much guidance you need. If hearing from God is your main problem, revaluate where you are in your walk with God. Deepening your relationship with prayer, reading and fasting will bring you closer to his voice. God can speak through MANY ways-songs, scriptures, people, dreams, etc. Whatever is needed to be known God will reveal. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

Worrying won't get you anywhere- Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Matthew 6:27) Worry leads to anxiety, stress and many other symptoms that God does not give. Think about all the situations that you worried about and how it turned out just fine! I can even think about all the times He's given me signs on how to deal with a situation. To be honest, there were times where I ignored the signs but God still made a way out for me! Don't doubt that God won't continue to show mercy and grace over your life, even if you don't deserve it. The things you are praying for may even turn out better than you expect. Having that hope shows God that you are fully trusting him. Once you place your life in His hands, there is no need to worry. You may not be perfect but your life is in the hands of a perfect God. He wants the best for you, God doesn't want you to live a life full of stress. He can remove anyone or anything that adds an hinderance on your life. Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. (Psalms 55:22)

Always remember you are worth more anything in this world, you are a precious human being. God will always take care you. "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matthew 6:26)

Matthew 11:29-30 "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Matthew 6:34 Therefore don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
