Weakness

I’ve gone through some weak moments that lasted days, even weeks. I’ve gone through weak moments that only lasted a couple minutes. But in my weakness, God has shown me strength. The weakness is fueling the strength. You have to go through the weak times in order to get to the strong. Just like you got to start from the bottom to get to the top.
Some ways that can help in these moments are prayer and scripture. Finding scripture that relates to your situation or simply just reading a passage not only allows you to hear a message from God, but it also gives you a perspective of who He is. It will also remind you of who you are. We can overcome any battle because we are children of God. He fights for us, especially in our weakness. Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not your's, but God's” (2 Chronicles 20:15 ).
Prayer is also one of the best tools you can use. However we shouldn’t only be praying in our time of need. We need to be praying and reading every day. As believers, God abides in you, so why are we not feeding our soul as often as we can? It’s not ideal to be in a relationship with someone that you barely talk too, so it is the same with God. We can’t treat him good only on certain days of the week or just for show to make yourself look good. Get vulnerable with God, open up, let those feelings out whether it’s a good day or a bad day. Some people be in such good spaces, they forget to thank God for it. God is the one that allowed you to be in that position and He can easily take it away. As believers, we can’t overlook these things. Prayer and scripture should not just be tasks to check off our daily list. This is a lifestyle where these activities should come naturally in your daily walk. It’s just like dating - when you are interested in someone you do the necessary steps to pursue them. So if you say you want to gain a closer relationship with God, why not take the necessary steps to truly seek Him? It’s the effort that we show that He acknowledges.
God knows our true heart posture. So even in our weakness, He can see right through it. He can tell if your using a weak moment to His disadvantage. He knows if you will just go back to your old ways after the moment passes. However, we can’t be like that. After seeing how God can bring you out, that should make you want to love and serve Him more. Some people even turn their back on God because of weak times. They ask, “How can God let this happen to me?” “God doesn’t love me because I wouldn’t be going through this.” God said He would never leave you nor forsake you. In those weak moments is actually when you should feel Him the strongest. He is always there to pick you up and He knows exactly what you are going through. His intentions for us is to not stay in the suffering , but for it to make us stronger. So everything we go through is for a purpose. You may not see it right then, but God sees. Embrace the weakness for it is only making you stronger. “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
2 Corinthians 13:4 “For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.”
2 Corinthians 12:10 “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
