Victory Battle

The battle has been won in our favor!

When you come across opposition, it’s easy to want revenge, however there is no need for that because the Lord already went before us to handle it. Why should we react when He reacts for us? Also, we are to have the mindset of, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”(Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭44‬).  It takes a lot of strength to follow this scripture because honestly, we may want to do the opposite, but with God‘s love we can show this. What good does it do to retaliate? Or what does it gain if we treat them how the world treats their enemy?

On the day I called, You answered me; my strength of soul You increased. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever(Psalm 138:3, 7-8). We have to remember that we already have the victory! The Lord has already won the battle! It doesn’t matter what comes against you, the Lords purpose will prevail. No one can stop you but you. This is the one thing we have to be careful of-not letting ourselves get in the way. Don’t let anxiety and fear consume you. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”(Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬). Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting”(Psalm‬ ‭139‬:‭23‬-‭24‬).

Your opponents may not always be people. It could be a trial, situation or challenge that has came against you. Regardless of who or what  it is, they are defeated. With God on your side and the full equipment of His armor, what is loss? “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”(Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬). Even on the days when you feel as if opposition is constantly at your doorstep- let it keep on knocking! Don’t allow it over your threshold- don’t tremble and fear in its sight. Remember who is standing with you and for you. “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them”(Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭25‬). Stand strong for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will fight for you! “Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you”(Deuteronomy‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬).

Before long you will see the enemy defeated and you will know that it was God who did it. Even if the outcome is not what you expected, God does everything for a purpose. Even in the unexpected, it still worked out for your good. We can’t comprehend or even try to figure out why God moves the way He does, however it’s all for His glory. When we don’t give in too opposition and stand in faith, confidence, trust and belief -that shows His power within us. We only have this strength if we continue to abide in Him. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”(John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬).

Overall, opposition tries to come to steal faith. However, remember you serve a God that can’t lie- so if He said He will do it, then He will! The enemy tries to distract you from the focus of the promise, but the Lord is not slack in that area. He is not slack in anything! “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”(Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬). Just as stated before, once we utilize the power of the Holy Spirit, there is nothing we can’t accomplish! “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”(‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ).

As believers, you have already won.

Remember, it’s always faith over fear! No matter what storm or opposition comes, take the leap of faith. Trust God to save you- don’t panic or hesistate. Even when it looks rough, hard or scary, trust in God! “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”

‭‭(Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭6‬).

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”

Isaiah‬ ‭35‬:‭4‬
