Trust

"Trust, trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding," this is God's confirmation that everything in life will work out the way it's supposed to be. I can continue to live all my days in peace and not worry. I can go from my mind racing about all the things I have to do and all the decisions I have to make, to a quiet mind full of peace. With a quiet mind, you are even able to hear God more clearly when you pray, fast and read. There are so many plans I have made, with the anxiety of not knowing how it will truly work out. My trust in God is constantly building to the point where the only thing I can do is rely on Him. Whether your plans are big or small, trust that He will take care of them, so when the time comes, you will know exactly how to move forward. Trust that God is preparing you for your future.

God literally speaks me to every day about trust- in scriptures, devotionals, songs so why should there be even an inch of doubt in my heart? The enemy will fight you, but in reality He can't touch you. He will throw stumbling blocks at you, but you won't fall because God is your personal shield. God is fighting for you and you have already won! That's why it says in the word to TRUST because he has everything under control. God wants to prove his power to you. He wants you to see the favor he's placed on your life.

Trust means to have firm belief in the ability or strength in something or someone. (Psalms 37:23) The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him. (Luke 21:19) Stand firm and you will win life. The scriptures itself is confirmation. To be honest, sometimes I tend to speak scriptures over my life but there is still a piece of me that wavers in doubt. Then I ask myself, "What's the point of speaking something that you don't believe or fully have faith in? How do you encourage others to believe but not yourself? Is is just for show?" You won't see change in your situation until belief is there. Even if you have to give yourself a pep talk or reminders everyday-reread those scriptures everyday until you feel yourself start to believe more. Ask God to do what it takes to build your trust. He did it for me so I know he'll do it for you. Also don't allow life situations make you question God's character. Cast every burden upon Him and leave it there! "God you can have everything that is causing my trust to waver, I give it to you!" Even when things feel stagnant, I believe that's when God is working. Or even when the enemy is fighting you harder, that's when God intervenes! Activate your faith and trust in the Lord. There is a quote that I love, it says, "Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway." Give Him thanks for what He's going to do. Give thanks for His word and His peace will sustain. You are secure with Jesus, trust in Him and everything will work out alright.

Poem:

God, I am coming to you today with an open heart

I give you every piece of me, broken and whole, every part

I leave every worry, care and concern at your feet

Is there room at your table, is there an open seat?

I don't want to carry burdens or live in fear

I don't want to be sad or go to sleep in tears

I trust you Lord to give me a new life

wash me, make me clean and pure

I have my mind made up, with you I'm sure

that this walk of life is eternally full of bliss

A life full of love, joy and hope

A life that I just can't miss.

Amen

Sometimes I can get in my head about if I’m truly doing enough. Or sometimes I’ll wonder if I’m doing too much. The truth of the matter is, there is probably never too much that you can do in God. He
