Have you ever seen the sunset at its peak,

with white fluffy clouds, blue all around to seek

Have you ever seen the sunset with no clouds,

but with purple, pink, blues spraying all around?

Have you ever imagined a peace so real

That only God can fill?

Have you ever been in a storm without rain?

Have you ever been so broken without pain?

Then the calm comes

Comes like a deep sleep, but you’re wide awake

A stillness that could only fulfill a soul so whole

You can feel God so near its like you can touch Him

reach out and grab Him

A presence so real that you don’t want anyone to steal

It doesn’t matter if it's cloudy or gray

Jesus can mend every piece of the day

If peace is like a cool breeze in the wind,

the sway of the trees

Why wouldn’t I want to stay?

True peace is within me from heaven above

So, let me lay at Jesus feet

Being embraced and made complete.

True peace is where I need to be

Lord, please guide me

So I can forever see

your glory in the sunset at its peak,

a calm so real only you can fulfill.
