New Season
Updated: Jan 8, 2023
For the new year, people plan and write down new year resolutions which is fine, but for me personally I can say that I have no set resolutions. I just want whatever God has for me this year because in reality the plans I set for myself may not be the same path God wants me to take.
Reflecting back over 2022 and past years I can honestly say each year my life has progressed whether it was spiritually or naturally-in little ways and big ways. I have no doubt in my mind that God will continue to help me grow in my future. I have the confidence God has good things coming whether I plan them or not. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). All I can do is pray for the things I want, but also keep an open mind that nothing is certain, unless God allows. I should even expect setbacks, disappointments or failures because no life is perfect. I always remind myself to follow God’s flow of things and to remember no matter what I go through in life, everything is destined for God’s greater good, for He is good!
As long as I am walking in my calling and purpose, I can trust that everything will fall into place for me. Trust that if God wants certain situations to happen for you, then it will! If it doesn’t work out, then also trust God that it wasn’t supposed to. What’s meant for you will be exactly for you, for God designed it that way. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21). I don’t want to live a life worrying about material things, I only want to worry about grasping what God has in store for me. My main focus is my relationship with Jesus, everything else comes second.
This is a season of believing God and believing what He can do in you. Once you allow Him to move in you, the more He can do for you.
Poem:
Up in the sky and I don’t want to come down
Floating on the clouds with Jesus
Soaring, sailing through the winds of His breath
Over the ocean, through the springs
Toward the voice of His majesty
“Trust, rest, believe” is what He whispered to me

How do I gain control of His words?
How do I get to be in His presence?
How do I follow His plan?
I feel like I’ve gained my wings
Soaring, sailing through the winds of His breath
He whispered to me, “Trust, rest, breathe into me,
Let me carry you away to the wonderful heights of where I’ll be
Keep believing and you will see the things I have planned for thee.”
That is how I’ll gain him
That is how I’ll receive Him
That is how I’ll soar, sail through the winds of His breath
Just believe.
