New Day

One day I was sitting in the car before work thanking God for a new morning, and as I said the words, “thank you God for the sun rising “ it automatically led to the thought of “the SON has risen” which alone put me into worship with God.

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning; (‭‭Lamentations ‭3‬:‭23‬). This scripture gives a perspective of the importance of each day. To see the sun rising signifies the start of something brand new. It’s a new morning, a new day, new opportunities. A chance to go about your day with God. A chance to be thankful for breath in our lungs. To know that the Son rose again signifies new life. He gave us another chance to live with Him . So with each new day comes the new experience of life with Him. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

Despite anything I’m going through, when I wake up in the morning & see the sun

shining through the window, it makes whatever I went through the night before all worthwhile. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). To know that the Son lives inside of me reminds me that He will take care of me. He rose again to give me a life fulfilling . He rose to sustain me. There is nothing else I’d rather do than to honor him. Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand (Colossians 3:1).

Next time you see the sun shining down on you, making your skin glow , let that remind you in the same breath, that is how the Son glows inside of you. I think sometimes we don’t realize how bright our light shines . Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you (Isaiah 60:1). There will always be opportunities everyday for you to show who He is inside of you. We may not be able to control how the day will go, but we can control how we show up for the day through our actions and thoughts. Every single day we rise with Him , so we get a new chance to be better than yesterday. To be honest, looking at some of our situations, we should be in a worse state of mind than what we are. However when you walk with God , he is the glue that holds you together. He is the reason you can feel the joy in the small moments. For this light within you produces only what is it good and right and true (Ephesians 5:9).

It’s truly refreshing to know that we have always gotten another chance, because what if Jesus never died on the cross? All humanity would be even more lost. In all honesty, a life without Jesus being the center will cause you to be lost. Live everyday with Him and for Him, because He is life. We walk with our head held high daily because of who is He is. All honor and glory goes to Him simply because we get to experience life and His love. We get to experience a new beginning like no other.

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days (Psalms 90:14).

Psalms 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Romans 6:4 We were buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father , we too may live a new life.

John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."
