I Desire

Have you ever experienced going through something and it doesn’t work out? I know I have and I’ve even asked numerous times, “God, if you knew this wasn’t going to happen for me, why even put me through it?” See, God can place you in situations just so you can see what something may have been like versus what it will be like in the future. He could be opening your eyes to see the value of where you once were to where you will be. God can also place you in certain situations to help you grow and develop- whether it's temporary or long lasting. There is purpose in things that sometimes you can’t even see, but God sees. Whatever you might’ve been hoping for could be different according to God’s plan for you. It may even be greater because God can place you in better spaces. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26).
God can place you in rooms that will give you a glimpse of the future. He can even show you how things will be or won’t be based on the route you take- it's up to you if you want that change for yourself. God can even help you figure out what you do want or dislike so you can move accordingly. Just because it didn’t work out now, doesn’t mean it won’t work out later. He can change your situation to match your desires or replace it with something different and still match your desires! Always expect and hope for better. Don’t expect something to fail-pray that it does succeed and if it doesn’t, then it just wasn’t for you. Never give up on hopes & dreams. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4). This scripture gives me the trust and reassurance that I will see my desires, whether it happens tomorrow or years from now- according to His will.
The stronger I grow in God, the more my desires may change to match His will, which is ultimately the better plan for me. I know He has good plans for me, so what doesn’t work out, He will replace it. God can fill any failed situation with His mercy and grace. If your prayer isn’t answered, God is still good! You may not have received what you were hoping for, but you still have life in Jesus. Your situation may have failed, but Jesus has NEVER failed and He won’t ever. Believe in what He’s done before- its passages all throughout the Bible telling of miracles that took place because of faith (Hebrews 11).
I always say God can show me the dream, but not always the details to get to the dream. That's where faith, trust and confidence come in. Trust that God will give you the guidance to what He has for you- believe in His promise.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight
