Hope Again

It's hard to believe we live in a world where love is dying. Anger, self hatred, greed, putting each other down plus more is occurring more often than less. Where is the hope we once knew? Hope that keeps us strong, hope that never fails, hope that keeps us calm. In reality, that hope can be found in Jesus but a lot of people don’t know that. He provides that hope in the middle of the storm-He is that hope that we should be longing for. We should be able to go about our day knowing that Jesus is that present hope- God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). Jesus is hope, He is love. He is the ultimate creator who holds the world in His hands. Although if you don't truly have Christ in your heart, then your world can ultimately come crashing down.

A lot of people’s negative actions stem from loss of hope. They have no hope that they can change, so they continue to do the things they do- which can cause harm to not only others, but themselves. They spiral in a constant cycle because they have no hope within themselves. Actions can sometimes be based on feelings and emotions, but once you take control of that, you can revive your mind. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Hope is not something you earn, God has freely given this to you. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. God has given you this expectation that whatever you set your mind to, you can achieve. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11:24). God wants you to hope in Him because that’s what He is there for- He wants you to depend on Him for everything! That when you feel like no one understands-He does. When you feel alone, you set that hope that He will make His presence known. Hope that He can and will take care of all things-big and small. Even when you don’t feel like there is no change, hope for God’s outcome. Hope that you can break the cycle, live by the Spirit and take your mind back!

Hope in the greater good, hope that the world changes and see what love truly means. However,it all starts with you, you have to be the example, be the change that you need to be. How do you tell someone else to believe if you don’t believe yourself? Once you start within yourself, then others can see for themselves. Walk as if you're living in what you're hoping for!

Psalms 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Psalms 71:14 As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.

1 Corinthians 13:6-7 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

1 John 4: 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Sometimes I can get in my head about if I’m truly doing enough. Or sometimes I’ll wonder if I’m doing too much. The truth of the matter is, there is probably never too much that you can do in God. He
