Growth

One day I came home and there were these huge white and brown mushrooms in the yard- I don’t know when they started growing but it's as if they just appeared overnight! When I googled it, it said that mushrooms are an indication that the yard has a lot of organic material in the soil. The mushrooms break down the material and make the soil more productive. Which overall means the mushrooms are a sign of a good thing. The Scotts Company LLC. World. (2002).

The mushrooms reminded me of the scripture Isaiah 43:19- See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The mushroom sprung up out of nowhere to represent a good thing-it is to help the soil be more healthy, which provides nutrients for the environment. It's the same with the scripture- God is doing a new thing that will ultimately help us to produce the fruit we need to live a life pleasing unto Him. Also God can be doing a new thing in you and make a way in your dilemma.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5). A plant can’t survive without soil, water and sunlight. Mushrooms don’t come without moisture, shade and organic material. Our fruit won’t grow unless we allow God to move in us. We can't live the life we need without God's help. When we let God prune us, teach us, discipline and love us, then the new that He wants to create will come out.
He can take your situation and make it brand new to the point you never would have thought you were going through. He can transform anybody into a new creation. Don’t think you're too far in sin or too stuck in your ways/habits to not be changed. Acts 22:1-21-If God can use Saul who was persecuting and killing Christians to win souls for Christ, then he can use you! And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again (2 Corinthians 5:15)
Change is hard whether you’ve been walking with God for weeks, years or months. God will constantly be doing a new thing in you if you allow Him. More than likely it may not happen overnight, it may take time, but in the end it's a GOOD thing. I admit, change can be scary but God and fear don’t mix. God does not disappoint, if He says He’s doing a new thing, trust that it’s all for your good. If God can make sure nature survives the way it's supposed to be-how much more will he do for you? (Matthew 6:28-30)
When you start to feel things shift or you go through things you never thought of, think of it as a lesson-look at it as growth. Be happy about the places God is taking you no matter what it looks like. God has special organic material that was made just to help you grow.
John 15:2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful
2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!
