God’s Love

Like a sweet melody of piano keys
Like the sunlight beaming through the car window or a summer breeze
Like the birds singing a happy tune
Like families laughing , eating together
Like the sound of a choir singing together
Like hands clapping, rejoicing in church
Like the angels saying together
Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come (Revelation 4:8)
That’s love
Like the spiritual and the natural blessings
Like eternal life guaranteed
Like creating you & me
Like dying on a cross and forgiveness of sins
That’s love
Like taking up our cross & following Jesus
Like healings, salvation & breakthrough
Like miracles, guidance & understanding
Like trust, truth and freedom
That’s love
Not an ordinary love
It’s God’s love
Like wider than the sky can stretch
Like longer than any path can go
Like deeper than the ocean floor
Like higher than the tallest mountain
God’s love
You may ask, how can I reciprocate this love? By following his commands, obeying His voice and trusting His Word. “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.”
2 John 1:6
Deuteronomy 30:16 ”in that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.”
Ephesians 3:18-19 “may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
