Favor

Did you know you have more favor than you think? Whenever life seems to be crumbling all around you, God’s favor still rests upon you. You might say, “Well I don’t see it or feel it,” but don’t you know that favor can come in all shapes, forms and sizes. Anytime things may happen around you and it doesn’t personally affect you, that's favor. It could be things happening on your job or even in your family and you won’t be harmed because of favor. When you pray on someone’s behalf and you start to notice things happening for them, that’s FAVOR. To know God gives you a peace that is not like the world (John 14:27) that’s FAVOR! To have an opportunity to cast anxieties and worries-to not be concerned about lugging them around- FAVOR (1 Peter 5:7). To not have to stress about life because your future is in good hands (Jeremiah 29:11). FAVOR. These are only a few things to name, but know that EVERYTHING God provides is FAVOR and it is inheritably ours. And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has (Romans 8:17 TPT). We have favor simply because of God’s grace and the world doesn’t get to experience this. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe (Romans 3:22).

For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask in my name (John 14:13). As children of God, we get to have this privilege from God. Favor means an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual.Google. (n.d.). This is nothing we deserved but God granted us this anyway. His favor shows how merciful, loving and kind He is. Favor isn’t always material things. Favor can be protection, health, joy, life, love, etc. Favor works on the internal, as well as the external. Having favor should always bring thankfulness and praise. You could’ve been in a lot of tough situations, but favor steps in. God looks out for his children-The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8). Whatever God promises, He will do it and everything God says in His word is a promise- so is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Because of favor, I’m sure its a lot of things that we probably don’t even know God blocked for us. Sometimes we don’t understand how or why things happen the way they do, but God knows. I can remember a time where I had a sudden unexpected change of plans, just for it to end up helping out for other plans I had that day- even in simple things like your plans God will give you favor. You could even be going through the same situation as someone else, but your outcome may come out different, even for the better! People may call it luck, but as believers we call it FAVOR!

Never underestimate who you are. As a child of God you have blessings on top of blessings. You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out (Deuteronomy 28:6). We can’t walk around with our head hanging down. You have favor so you know everything will work out for you. Why worry or be sad, believe you are walking in favor! Favor looks like everything that God has given you. Favor looks like the good, as well as the bad simply because He brought you through!

Remember, favor looks like you.

Psalms 5:12- Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless

Job 22:28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways

Psalms 128:2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours

Numbers 6:25 the Lord makes his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
