Enjoy

Psalms 118:24

To take life for granted means to allow the precious moments to slip away out of our grasp. Sometimes we don’t even realize what’s happening until after it's gone.

I believe we all should stop sometimes and cherish the moments we go through. God intended for us to enjoy the life that He provides- a life of goodness, mercy, peace and guarantee. Life was never meant for turmoil and disaster all the time. Life was meant to be fulfilling and with Jesus included, it's even more beautiful. God provides good things- Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him (James 1:17). Even when bad situations happen, it is still for your good -We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28). Sometimes we have to try to see things through spiritual eyes. God hand crafts people, places and situations in ways that we could never understand. He sees the true purpose behind everything.

Everyone knows that life can be short, but how are you truly spending your time? No one knows when their time is coming or when Jesus is coming back, but in the meantime, what are your actions and thoughts consisting of? Are you cherishing the people God placed in your life? Are you using your words wisely? Are you striving toward your goals? Are you doing what God called you to do? Are you truly enjoying your life? Focus on the things you can control and leave the rest up to God. Sometimes to fully enjoy, there may be a need to surrender- you have to give God something to work with. You can’t walk around sad, negative and upset at the world all the time. There are way too many things to be thankful for. God has blessed you with LIFE everyday, and when you just treat it any type of way, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Spending time with family and friends, reading, music, eating a favorite meal, being in nature-whatever your favorite activity is are the moments that should also be cherished. The times you don’t even have to think about anything, just pure enjoyment-these are the opportunities that God gave you to live -You taught me how to live. You will come close to me and give me great joy (Acts 2:28). Plus everything you do, should be done for the glory of the Lord. There are a lot of people who don’t even get to experience the small things, therefore we should always be thankful that we get to enjoy and live our life. For when you are a follower of the Master who created all things, it makes a difference, it makes you appreciate life more. “Our Lord and God! You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You made all things. Everything existed and was made because you wanted it.” (Revelation 4:11).

Where would we be without Jesus? He gives such an inexpressible joy-just over who He is. I find fulfillment in knowing I am connected to such a loving God who would do anything for me.

Enjoy where you are in life, for your life is all in His perfect hands.

To enjoy is to find joy in Him.
