Don't Settle
"Don't settle." Two simple words that hold a great meaning. Don't be so eager for something that you accept anything into your life. Your eagerness at times can override your wants and it could be less than what you deserve. Don't settle for anything in life whether its a spouse, car, job, etc. Don't downplay who you are! Don't settle within yourself, don't hold back on your potential. Don't allow your circumstances to impact your destiny.
God wants the best for you and wants you to hold yourself accountable to want the best also. If you constantly think that you're not going to have or be something, then that is what your outcome will be. I John 4:4 "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." Your desires may not be the same as others and their lifestyle may be different from yours, but this should not take away from the goals you have set for yourself. Even within family, don’t give in to those generational curses, you can be the change! Also don't let past failures or mistakes hinder you from the end goal. I always tell myself, "I want to be able to look back on my life and see my growth!" Claim your destiny, make the necessary changes and apply faith.
Tell God what you want for yourself and ask Him to take away any desire that does not match His will for you. There are times when I get discouraged because I don't have this or that but I will NOT allow the enemy to make me feel like I won't accomplish anything! God is bigger than the enemy, don't settle for the small! Wait on the Lord, don't let anyone knock down your plans. Psalms 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." If your heart is set on something, go for it! Other people cannot dictate your life! Stand your guard against anything or anyone who tries to tear you down. Everyone is not going to support you, even your closest friends and family, but you're not living life for them. Sometimes you don't even have to prove others wrong because God will handle those who come against you. Settling could mean living a life full of regrets and unhappiness. If something doesn't work out, don't give up, keep trying and let God lead you. Want greater and be the best version of yourself no matter what it takes!
