Comparison

Comparison is a killer

a dream stealer

to see yourself in a different way other than yourself

A lot of “what ifs and I wish”

A lot of beating yourself up

A lot of looking at what others have

But why can't we love what we already have?

Why can't we celebrate others?

Why can't we have victory over our own wins?

Why get discouraged when you don't get far?

Why tear our own self apart?

You'll never get anywhere looking at what you don't have or the past

You'll never get anywhere being dead last

Slow and steady wins the race

but only with God's grace

What you don't see is that

temporary pleasures are not eternities treasure

In the end what you compare yourself too

does not compare to all God has for you.
