Battle

Recently I've been studying the book of Jeremiah, which mainly was about how God was going to use Babylon to punish Judah's sin. As I was reading these passages, I started to think about how God is fighting for me in the spiritual realm. The same exact way God was upset because of the people's disobedience, I like to believe He gets that upset when the devil tries to block my blessings.

If we do our part by putting on the full armor of God like Ephesians 6 says, then we are guaranteed that God will fight for us spiritually. If we put on every piece of equipment in the scripture, the devil doesn't stand a chance to come in. God has vengeance set out for the enemy. The only thing we have to do is keep the faith that God will get the enemy off our back. With faith, eventually you will start to see things moving in a better direction. As believers, we have to live everyday as if going to war, so be prepared and wear your armor of God. God doesn't like to see you feeling weary, hopeless or defeated. He wants the enemy to leave you alone just as much as you do! When it feels like you've done everything that you can, give the rest to God, never lose hope! 2 Chronicles 20:15 For the battle is not yours, but God's. That scripture should take the weight off your shoulders, knowing you don't have to fight alone. During the fight, God could be blocking any other schemes the enemy may have tried to throw on you, so always thank him for fighting for you! God can see the unseen, so place your trust, faith and hope in Him.

The enemy deserves to see God's servants gain the victory over him. He deserves to be defeated for coming against you! If we continue to have this mindset, there is absolutely nothing to be worried about. So when your back is against the wall or when the enemy tries to constantly send attacks, you know exactly who to call-Jesus! Lay every trial and tribulation at his feet. Cry out in prayer, use the word as your weapon and apply the faith. There is no greater warrior and no greater fighter than the Holy Spirit. You have access to the Holy Spirit when you use the tools that he has given you, which will always make you an overcomer.

Take some time to read Ephesians 6:10-18 or my previous blog entry "Armor of God" and take in the knowledge of all God has provided for you to defeat the enemy! Be encouraged and surrender EVERY battle onto God and look forward to the outcome.

Psalms 30:5 Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.

Sometimes I can get in my head about if I’m truly doing enough. Or sometimes I’ll wonder if I’m doing too much. The truth of the matter is, there is probably never too much that you can do in God. He
