Armor of God

Ephesians 6:14-18

The Armor of God consists of:

• A belt of truth girded around your waist -No lying/lies should come from your mouth. Complete honesty, truth and love should be shown to others

• Shoes of peace- Walk in peace with everyone! There should be no anger or animosity toward each other. Once you get things right with your brothers & sisters then you will have peace within yourself. Walking in peace also means looking deep within, controlling and fixing anything hindering you internally.

• Shield of faith- Have faith so strong that when the enemy comes with trials and tribulations that you can block him out! Block out all negative energy. Block out all the stress factors, insecurities, nay sayers, doubt callers. BELIEVE that God can turn your situation around!

• Helmet of salvation- Having complete deliverance from sin. Your mind should be free from all sin and past sin. Letting go of things you used to do in past. You are made in the image of God. Your mind should be set strongly on Him which results in walking, talking and thinking of pure, heavenly things.

• Sword of the Spirit- The word of God, the BIBLE. Defeat the enemy, defeat your situation with scripture! It is so important to read and study the word. There is scripture that can help with anything you go through – healing, illness, relationships, faith, money, greed, hatred, etc. There is a scripture to match your situation. Learn about who God is through His teaching. You can hear God speaking through His word for the bible is an tool for guidance.

• Pray always! Your relationship with God is MOST IMPORTANT. How do you have a relationship with someone without talking to them? Invest time to talk to God throughout the day. Praying doesn't have to be formal or scripted- speak from the heart- talk to God like a friend! He is your friend, treat him like such! Go to him BEFORE anyone else and see the difference after you confide in him. Even if you don't hear anything back, remember that He is ALWAYS listening.
