A Piece Of Me

There have been many prayers that God did not answer exactly like how I expected, but he still answered. I asked for a change in a relationship & I got a break up. That was the change that needed to happened. I asked for a special miracle to take place for healing in my body. I didn’t get the specific miracle but I got healing. That specific healing was needed for me to grow. Also I know it was needed because someone I knew ended up going through the same illness and I was able to reassure them because of my experience. See, the enemy wants us to blame God or find the bad trait of our outcomes. He wants us to miss the picture that God actually did what we asked Him for - just not like how we wanted, but He did it. God already knows before hand how he will answer the prayer, but sometimes it could just be him trying to teach us a lesson. How persistent will we be in prayer? Do we give up easily? How much faith do we have? Are we doubting? Do we really believe God can do what we are asking? Will we throw God away if he doesn’t come though? Even though sometimes we still can’t quite understand why God did it in that sense, we have to trust that God knows what He is doing and His way is best. Yes, God has all power to rearrange things for us, but it may not be His will or in His plans for our life. Somethings may not be meant for us to figure out. God may reveal things and He may not. Everything that happens to us and for us is for his greater good and purpose. He already had a plan for our life before we were born. Often, I try to ask God to show me just a piece of what He is doing. I’ll be honest, a lot of times I just want to fast forward through the process and get to the blessings. However that’s not how life works- I have to learn to submit my “time line” of things to God. Just like a puzzle- you don't buy the puzzle already made. You have to diligently sit there and find which pieces fit together to get to the bigger picture, and this requires patience. If certain pieces don't fit, you move on to the next piece. We have to have patience in order to get to where God is taking us. When certain trials and tribulations feel as if they are blocking what we truly want, we endure patience and move forward with the journey, trusting God with the final result.

I’ve been in situations I thought wouldn’t happen to me, but it did. No matter what age you are or where you are in life, if God wants to take you through something He will. You never really know how your life will go because we are not the author of our story, God is. All I know is that He who began a good work in me will complete it (Philippians 1:6). We can’t let situations destroy our spirit because everything is temporary. All we can do is embrace where we are and use it for God’s glory. Yes, sometimes I feel down when I am in a trial, but prayer is my greatest weapon. Simply asking God to help me see through the fog is sometimes all it takes. Next thing I know I’m writing a whole journal entry because He opened my eyes wider than they were before. Then comes the tears because He always reminds me that He hears me and He’s always with me- as a matter of fact, He never left. To believe it is one thing but to feel it is another.

Prayer:

I’m counting on you God to do whatever it is needed to be done in me in this season. I know that you’ve already started and I thank you God. Things may have not came as expected but only you alone knows what this season is doing for me. Yes, I’m ready to see _________________, but God you know when I’ll truly be ready for those things to happen. In the meantime, God start preparing me now for all those things. If there are other things spiritually that need to take place, then start getting me together for that first as well. Though I may not always understand it, my life is in your hands, I trust you, I thank you and I love you God.

Amen
